Our diagnostic is $99, and here is what that $99 buys. A technician comes to your home, checks the full system, and finds the real issue. You get the findings in writing, with photos, and the exact repair price in writing too, before any work starts. Nothing gets fixed until you approve the price. A low fee that turns into a high repair quote is no bargain in the end, and we would rather you see the whole picture up front: a fair fee, a fair repair price, and everything in writing.

Comprehensive AC Repair Solutions Air Conditioner Brands:

Although the quality of AC brands does differ, most core components of an HVAC system are the same. This allows Comfort Zone of North Florida Inc. to provide AC repair services for all major brands and models. Here are some of the heating and air conditioning brands we service every day!

Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer

We are an official Carrier Factory authorized dealer. As a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer, Comfort Zone meets strict industry standards for training, service, and customer care. This status means our team is certified to install and repair Carrier systems using genuine parts and advanced diagnostic tools. It also ensures customers receive expert service backed by Carrier’s warranty and satisfaction guarantees, providing peace of mind, energy-efficient solutions, and long-lasting performance.

Service Fees

OUR POLICY: Up front, straight forward pricing.

Comfort Zone of North Florida Inc. charges a standard rate including parts & labor before discounts or promotions. As your local HVAC repair leader, we have vested financial and personal time in training our staff through higher education opportunities to remain in front of changes in the industry, design, and servicing.

Additionally, to provide the best in class service to as many people as possible, our service area covers 4 counties and can come at higher fuel costs to our drivers. Sometimes, air conditioning repair events are minor and require a minimal amount of time; we provide you with the best in service at the lowest reasonable rate to cover time and expenses.

Most minor AC repairs run $150 to $400. Your technician confirms the exact price in writing after the $99 diagnostic, before any work starts.

Compressor and coil replacements start at $1,485. The final price depends on the unit and the part, and you approve it in writing before we order anything.

We specialize in heating and air only. When we come out for an HVAC job, that is the job we do. We do not use the visit to sell electrical or plumbing work you did not ask for, and we do not recommend work your system does not need.

Our AC Repair Warranty

Comfort Zone of North Florida Inc. warranties all work for 1 year when the repair involves the replacement of a part. If the replaced part breaks or fails to perform as designed, we will repair or replace the item and perform any necessary labor free of charge.

Please note, if the failure of a part under our warranty period fails due to the failure of another component on the HVAC unit, then Comfort Zone of North Florida Inc. cannot cover the repair under our warranty but will provide repair and replacement if necessary of the affected components at a reduced rate.

Free second opinion

Got a quote for a big repair, or for a whole new system? Before you sign anything, let us take a free second look. A lot of large repairs turn out to be small repairs once a technician checks the system properly, part by part. We will inspect your system ourselves, show you what we found with photos, and give you our honest recommendation in writing. If the first quote was right, we will tell you that, too. We do second opinions free because we do not like seeing homeowners and businesses in Nassau and Duval talked into work their system does not need.

Don't Wait Until Your AC Fails

The best defense against a major air conditioner repair is an AC maintenance contract that allows us to come to your business twice a year to perform a 24-point HVAC inspection. Find out more about our 24-point HVAC Preventative Maintenance agreement.

Repair or Replace? A Simple Way to Decide

Multiply your system's age by the repair price. If the result is over roughly $5,000, replacement usually deserves a hard look. A 12-year-old system facing a $600 repair lands at $7,200, which points to replacement, while the same repair on a 5-year-old system lands at $3,000 and repair makes sense. It is a guide, not a rule: at the $99 diagnostic you get the findings in writing, with photos, and the exact repair price, so you can run the math on your own numbers before you decide. Holding a replacement quote from another company? We will give you a free second opinion.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does AC repair cost in Jacksonville?
Most minor AC repairs run $150 to $400, and your technician confirms the exact repair price in writing after the $99 diagnostic, before any work starts. The range covers the common failures, like a failed capacitor or a broken thermostat, while bigger jobs, like compressor and coil replacements, start at $1,485 because the part itself and the work involved are much larger. The final price depends on the unit and the part, and our pricing is upfront and straightforward, so the written price you approve is the price you pay.
Why is my AC blowing warm air?
Warm air usually means the system cannot move heat out of your home, and the most common causes are low refrigerant, a frozen inside coil, a faulty capacitor, a broken thermostat, or a sensor failure. Your AC cools by absorbing heat indoors and releasing it outside, so when refrigerant runs low, often from a leak, there is less of it to carry that heat. A frozen coil or a failed capacitor can stop airflow or keep the compressor from starting, which leaves the fan blowing air that was never cooled. A technician checks the full system during the $99 diagnostic to find the real cause, so you fix the cause instead of the symptom.
What happens during the $99 diagnostic?
During the $99 diagnostic, a technician comes to your home, checks the full system, and finds the real issue behind the breakdown. Nothing gets fixed until you approve the price, because a low fee that turns into a high repair quote is no bargain in the end. Seeing the whole picture up front, a fair fee, a fair repair price, and everything in writing, is how you know the repair is really needed.
What warranty comes with a new system?
Every new system we install carries a 10-year limited manufacturer parts warranty. Florida law makes the full term effective from the installation date on systems installed by a licensed contractor, and the remaining parts coverage transfers to a new owner automatically if you sell your home. We register the equipment for you as part of the install. Extended labor warranty options up to 10 years are available if you want labor covered too. Parts we replace on a repair carry a 1-year limited parts warranty.

1-Year Parts Warranty on Repairs

Repairs come with coverage too. Every part we replace carries a 1-year limited parts warranty. If that part fails within the year, the replacement part is on us.

The Comfort Zone Promise

✓ Your price in writing before work starts. No work begins until you approve the exact price.

✓ Findings documented with photos. You see what we see, on every job.

✓ Technicians paid by the hour, never on commission. Our only job is fixing your system right.

If Something Is Not Right, We Make It Right

Mistakes are rare, but they happen in this work, and how a company handles them tells you more than any review. If something about your job is not right, call us and tell us. We come back, recheck the work ourselves, and put it right. If the fix involves more work, you see the price in writing and approve it before anything starts, the same as the first visit. And if we find the issue is ours, we say so plainly. That is the deal, and it has been the deal since 2009.

Comfort Zone provides AC repair across Nassau, Duval, Clay, St. Johns, and Baker counties. See our service areas page for every town we cover.

Contact our office today at (904) 406-0070 or simply fill out our form, and we will call you back right away!

Booking takes about a minute, and it works around the clock, nights and weekends included.

Heating Repairs

North Florida winters are short, but a cold snap finds every weak heating system in the house. Comfort Zone repairs furnaces, heat pumps, and electric heating systems of all makes and models. The failures we see most often are damaged or corroded wires, leaking heat exchangers, broken thermostats, faulty fan motors, and electrical load failures. Every repair starts with a full diagnosis, so we fix the cause instead of the symptom. You see what the technician found, with photos, and you get the repair price in writing before any work starts.

Furnace Repair and Heat Pump Heating Repair

When heat stops in a Jacksonville or Yulee home, you need a straight answer, not a sales pitch. We provide furnace repair and heat pump heating repair for homeowners across both towns, and we fix the cause instead of guessing at the symptom.

Cold weather often exposes a weak spot that summer never did. Backup heat strips may not come on, leaving the air lukewarm. A failing reversing valve can leave a heat pump stuck in the wrong mode. Low refrigerant can show up as weak heat, not just weak cooling. Thermostat and defrost problems can also stop the system from finishing a heating cycle, or leave ice building up outside.

Here is how a visit works. The $99 diagnostic covers a full check of the system, and you get our findings and the repair price in writing, with photos, before any work starts. Nothing moves forward until you approve that price. Our technicians are paid by the hour and never on commission, so the recommendation is about fixing your heat, not selling a bigger job. If regular care would help prevent the next cold night breakdown, we will also point you to our maintenance plan.
